Black teas are made by rolling and bruising tea leaves, then allowing them to oxidize and turn black. Black teas are the most popular teas in North America & Europe.
Black Dragon is my all-time favorite daily morning tea. This tea has a wonderful robust flavor without being too astringent. Warm cocoa notes. I love it.
First time I received this tea in the mail, I wondered how I was supposed to measure a teaspoon. Well, I did the best I could and found that I love this bold black tea. I’ve restocked 3 or 4 times now.
It was good, but it had a very strong "tea taste" that overpowered the other flavors. I also didn't find it strong enough...but I have a high caffeine tolerance. I don't think I would buy this one again, but I will definitely give a different blend a try.
Almond Sugar Cookie Dessert
I expected this tea to be too sweet for me and tried it at my daughter's request after it was on her wish list for two of my orders. Wonderful, complex, decadent tea with a great aroma.
When I first chose this for my subscription box I was skeptical. As a baker I'm not a fan of almond extract and have been fooled by other almond teas. The almond flavor in this tea is real, not extract, and it shines through wonderfully! A little sugar and milk make for a delightful treat. Almost as good as a homemade cookie fresh out of the oven. Good enough to get me to order more!
Almond Sugar Cookie Dessert
Rich, smooth, delicious. I keep reaching for this bag of tea-I will be ordering more in larger bag! O
My new favorite! Hot or cold it's amazing. Cold it reminds me of dark chocolate, I little sweet with a hint of bitterness. One of the smoothest teas I've ever drank. I will be buying this EVERY TIME
I had to order more of this tea. It’s one of my favorite black teas and I’m sure I’ll order it again in a few months.
Delicious hot, makes a fine iced tea as well. Resteeps beautifully as well. As the title says, it’s one of our favorite teas.
This is my favorite tea. It really holds up to multiple steepings, so I try to have it only when I have the time to steep three times, though the third steeping is the weakest, it is still delicious. I usually do 3, 4, then 5 minutes for the steep times, and just a teaspoon of sugar, or less, to sweeten.
When you want to pounce on your day.
What a lovely new black blend! This is a bold smooth tea with a ton of depth. Milk-even goat's milk-hilights its quality and does not water it down. It is perfect without any additions as well.
Strongly flavored chai that requires milk and sugar to round out the flavors (as many chai teas do).
Very tasty tea
More complex than some chai blends, with a satisfying body and warm flavor.
This tea is sort of a guilty pleasure. Sweet and tart raspberry wrapped up in a slightly bitter cocoa package. Just right for snuggling down on the couch while bad weather keeps you inside. A whole weekend could be well-wasted with this one. The black tea richness mixed with the almost candy-like raspberry/chocolate flavor just begs to be shared.
The beautiful color with the hint of chocolate to the rich black tea was not just a perfect valentine drink but now an every day love!!
This literally smells like a chocolate covered strawberry and it’s just divine! One of my top 5 favorite teas!!
After our February sample was gone we decided to put this one into regular rotation after finding we craved it after last year's sample as well. Delightful tart pomegranate balanced with a subtle cocoa aroma and taste. As silly as it is, I do miss the sprinkles that were present last year, although I don't typically take sugar with my tea. It brought a fun visual.
Great cozy flavor.
Tea Runners carried another Lapsang Souchong that I bought previously and really liked. Unfortunately, it's currently out of stock. When I saw that this one was available (Lot # 7), I thought I'd like it just as much. It simply is not as good. I mean, it's okay, and I'm not going to send it back, but it's not quite smoky enough and isn't as tasty. I hope they bring back the other Lapsang Souchong soon - but until then, I'll keep drinking this one.
You are correct. This lapsang is much less smoky than our other listing (https://shop.tearunners.com/products/lapsang-souchong), which has been out of stock for a while but is about to be replaced. This lot (#7) is sweeter and more nuanced than heavily smoked lapsangs.
This was not what I expected from description. The hibiscus is overpowering, leaving it very tart. This feels more like a fruit tea than a black tea, the black tea is lost in this blend. The other flavors of ginger and cardamon are also not really coming through.
I was not sure how this tea would taste....but it's amazing. Has an even better flavor than mulled wine and you can drink it in the morning! Definitely one I'm going to add into my rotation.
This one is perfect for holiday celebratory sipping! We love the tart and tangy notes that so accurately depict its name - mulled wine! A great one steeped and re-steeped! So flavorful and festive!
